The boys fought back from 2-0 down with only a few minutes remaining to earn a well deserved draw at Ramsey. The first half had been very even with few chances at both ends. When Spencer Cordery was called upon he made a couple of great saves. Bertie Kemp at left back and Brandon Jack at right back were outstanding. The first half ended goalless. In the second half we had the wind behind us but conceded two goals when losing the ball and Ramsey broke on the counter attack. To the boys credit their heads did not drop and they started passing the ball around in midfield and through to the strikers. Suddenly most of the possession was in Ramsey's half and we had a couple of long range shots and corners. The pressure that was building resulted in the Ramsey goalkeeper spilling a long range shot and Kai Hickinson was on hand to turn, shoot and score. The boys were lifted by the goal and Ramsey were deeper in front of their own goal. With time running out man of the match Kai Hickinson tried his luck with a long range shot which the Ramsey goalkeeper misjudged and there was our equaliser! The match could have been won by either team at the end but the fair result was the draw. The whole team worked hard for each other and their team spirit was rewarded.
