Hemingford PavilionTea Dances support good causes

The monthly Tea Dances organised by Mike and Margaret Gledhill have grown from strength to strength since they started eighteen months ago. For just £5.00  dancers get three hours of dancing, tea and cakes and a chance to meet up with old friends and make new ones.

In the short time the Tea Dances have been running  they have donated nearly one thousand pounds to good causes. Arthritis research benefited by £120.00 and Macmillan Nursing received £140.00 through special charity afternoon dances.

The Hemingford Pavilion, itself a Charity, has benefited from donations funding bean bags for the free Kids Cinema and replacement curtain rails in the Hayward Hall

Most recently, a contribution was made to fund the replacement of the Pavilions bulkhead lights with new LED units to improve security, reduce running costs and, with the increased illumination provided by these units, make the facility a safer place to visit.

The Trustees wish Mike and Margaret continued success with this popular monthly event
